1. Eligibility and project rights
The Readiness Review is available only to clients located in the United States who are at least 18 years old. By submitting a request or entering an agreement, you represent that you control the screenplay and other submitted materials or have authority to submit them, and that your submission does not unlawfully infringe or disclose another person’s rights or confidential information.
2. Fit requests and acceptance
A fit request is free and creates no obligation for either party. Le Vide may accept, waitlist, or decline any request based on scope, fit, capacity, conflicts, or other reasonable business considerations. An engagement exists only after written acceptance and completion of the required agreement, payment, and materials process.
3. Fee, slot hold, and required materials
The introductory fee is a $125 flat fee, invoiced through Wave after acceptance. An accepted client has seven calendar days to sign the DocuSign agreement, pay in full, and upload all required materials to the client-specific Google Drive folder. If those steps are not completed, Le Vide may release the slot. Any payment received before work begins will be refunded if the slot is released.
- Final screenplay PDF of 15 pages or fewer.
- Logline and short synopsis.
- Director’s goals and main questions.
- Current budget, available resources, and project timeline.
- A pitch deck or lookbook is optional supporting material.
4. Start confirmation and delivery
Work begins only when Le Vide confirms in writing that the signed agreement, full payment, and complete required materials have been received. That written start confirmation begins the five-business-day delivery period and marks the point after which the fee is nonrefundable. “Business day” means Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
5. Deliverables
Final PDFs are delivered by email and placed in the client folder. Le Vide will correct verified factual errors reported within the seven-day clarification period, but the service does not include revisions, rewrites, additional coverage, or changes based only on disagreement with professional judgment.
- A five-category project-readiness scorecard.
- A focused three- to four-page written assessment.
- Three strongest elements and three key gaps or risks.
- A Ready, Nearly Ready, or Needs Development status.
- Five prioritized next actions.
- One clarification email submitted within seven calendar days after delivery.
6. Scope exclusions
- Producer attachment, ongoing producing, project submission, or production consideration.
- Financing, grants, investor introductions, fundraising, or fiscal sponsorship.
- Detailed budgeting or scheduling; casting; crew, location, or vendor sourcing; or physical-production management.
- Screenplay rewriting, line-by-line coverage, open-ended development, or revisions.
- Legal, tax, accounting, investment, rights-clearance, distribution, or festival-placement advice.
- Any guarantee of financing, production, festival acceptance, distribution, commercial success, or other outcome.
7. No producer or business relationship
Purchasing or receiving a review does not create a producer attachment, partnership, joint venture, agency, employment, fiduciary, financing, distribution, or representation relationship. Le Vide has no obligation to consider, produce, promote, or introduce the project.
8. Intellectual property and permitted use
You retain ownership of your screenplay and project materials. You grant Le Vide a limited, nonexclusive permission to access and use them only to evaluate, administer, and perform the review.
Le Vide retains its preexisting methods, scorecard structure, templates, branding, and general know-how. After full payment, you may use the delivered assessment internally to develop the reviewed project and may share it privately with your project collaborators. You may not sell, publicly post, publish, or repurpose the assessment as a competing product without written permission.
9. Confidentiality, publicity, and files
Le Vide will handle project materials as described in the Privacy Policy. Neither a client, project, result, nor testimonial will be publicly identified by Le Vide without separate written permission. Accepted-project source files are normally deleted 30 days after delivery; clients are responsible for retaining their own copies.
10. Professional judgment and disclaimers
The review reflects Le Vide’s good-faith professional opinion based on the materials supplied. It is informational and does not replace advice from an attorney, accountant, insurer, line producer, production manager, safety specialist, or other qualified professional. Results and outcomes are not guaranteed.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Le Vide will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from the website or service. Le Vide’s total liability for a paid review will not exceed the amount the client paid for that review. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Electronic records, law, and changes
The parties may use electronic communications, records, and signatures. These terms and any Readiness Review agreement are governed by Georgia law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. We may update these website terms prospectively; the terms accepted for an existing paid engagement remain governed by that engagement’s signed agreement.
